The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updated the 4.9 GHz(4940-4990 MHz) frequency range for purpose on improvement of safety communication. This update will have some chance to lift previous public notice regarding “Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and Wireless Telecommunications Bureau Announce Temporary Filing Freeze on the Acceptance and Processing of Certain Part 90 Applications for the 4940-4990 MHz Band”.This update will be enforced on November 29, 2021.
